Faithful Counseling is a Christian-based online mental health therapy platform for adults. Therapists are practicing Christians who combine their clinical expertise with their faith to help their clients. In addition to any issue you may be facing, you can openly discuss God, religion and your spirituality as part of your therapy sessions.

Find What You Need

Faithful Counseling Service

You’ll have to fill out a questionnaire to get started. You’ll first be asked general questions like your gender, your relationship status and where you live. You’ll then be asked about your overall health, sleeping and eating habits, financial status and what types of emotional or mental distress you may be experiencing. You’ll also be asked what Christian denomination you belong to, how long your faith has been important to you and how often you pray.

You can then choose what type of therapy you are seeking:

Based on your answers, you’ll be connected to a therapist which can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Once you’ve been assigned a therapist, you can begin communicating with them online. You’ll be given a private digital ‘room’ where you can send audio, video or text messages any time. You will also be able to schedule weekly live sessions with your therapist which can last from 30 to 45 minutes.

You can connect to the platform with a computer, tablet or smartphone from anywhere that has an internet connection. It’s important to note, if at any time you don’t feel the therapist you’ve been assigned is a good fit for you, you can request a new one.

All therapists who work with Faithful Counseling must be licensed, trained and accredited mental health professionals. The clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, psychologists and professional therapists that provide services through the site all hold a master’s degree or a doctorate in their field. They all must have at least three years and 1000 hours of hands-on counseling experience.

Faithful Counseling says therapists who provide services through its platform are practicing Christians and their beliefs align with the service’s Statement of Faith.

Therapists with Faithful Counseling must believe the following:

It’s important to note, therapists will offer you faith-based counseling, but will not advise you on spiritual issues like biblical wisdom or spiritual battles you may be facing. Instead, Faithful Counseling recommends, in those instances, you seek the advice and counsel of a minister or church leader.
